Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays to you all! We’re certainly thankful for a lot of things, including this week’s slate. Let’s dive in!
Ready to make some money in the NFL Week 16 Millionaire contest at DraftKings? Check out our lineup and let it guide you to the DFS promised land! Good luck!
Geno Smith is a fantastic budget play at quarterback this week. The Seattle Seahawks are playing the Kansas City Chiefs this week, who are allowing 23 points per game this season.
The Chiefs also surrender the fourth most fantasy points to quarterbacks, with 22. In a meaningful game for both teams, we’re anticipating a shoot-out, and Smith will be a huge part of that.
James Cook is turning in a solid rookie season, and nobody is talking about it. In the games that he has been given a workload of 10-plus touches, Cook has scored 16.5, 8.6, and 5.3 fantasy points.
His 16.5-point game came against one of the league’s best defenses in the New England Patriots. We’re anticipating another big game against the Chicago Bears this week, who allow 26.1 points to opposing running backs.
Derrick Henry owns the Houston Texans. Not literally, but his career against the Texans is something to marvel at. There’s a reason he is the most expensive running back on the slate.
In his last four games against the Texans, he’s averaging 223 yards and has scored nine touchdowns. Don’t get cute this week; start Henry in all DFS lineups.
We decided to go with a few budget receivers this week due to spending higher at other positions. Although all these guys are at a discount, we have faith that they will be able to perform in a big way this week.
Jahan Dotson has been a very steady DFS player this season. He is averaging 10.8 fantasy points per game this season, including 23.5 points last week and 16.4 points the week prior.
Although the Washington Commanders matchup with the San Francisco 49ers will be difficult this week, look for Dotson to be a big part of the Commanders' offense, as the 49ers' focus will likely be on Terry McLaurin.
DJ Chark Jr has been a boom-or-bust option this season. The Detroit Lions’ opponent this week, Carolina Panthers, allows 36.7 points to opposing wide receivers this season. Chark should be a recipient of many targets this week, making him a great play this week, especially on a budget.
Another DJ from the Detroit-Carolina game, DJ Moore, has been playing well as of late. In his last two full games, Moore has scored 18.3 and 23.3 points, respectively. Moore is shaping up to be a smash play this week against the Lions.
Kelce is the most expensive tight end on the slate this week by over $3,000, and there’s a great reason for that. He simply cannot be stopped. Averaging over 21 points per game this season, Kelce is a no-brainer play this week.
In the Chiefs’ last two games, McKinnon has scored 34.2 and 35.4 points. He’s becoming a huge part of their offense. In a game that has meaningful implications for both sides, look for McKinnon to be active in a big way again this week.
The Baltimore Ravens' defense is on a tear as of late. They are allowing only 12 points per game in their last three outings and are facing the Atlanta Falcons this week.
The Falcons are only scoring 15.7 points in their last three outings. This is the perfect storm for the Ravens' defense and they should put up big numbers in your DFS lineup this week.
