The Green Bay Packers face off against the San Francisco 49ers in the Sunday night matchup for week three in a highly anticipated game. The Packers will have a short week coming off of a big victory against the Detroit Lions in a Monday night football matchup. Green Bay is traveling to Levi's Stadium to take on an undefeated San Francisco 49ers.
The 49ers are looking to continue their undefeated run after taking down the Lions in week one and the Philadelphia Eagles in week two. This is shaping up to be a very tight, very entertaining game to wrap up the Sunday slate.

Current Odds and Line Movement
There has been very little movement or variance with the odds for this matchup. San Francisco opened as a 3-point favorite and that is where they currently sit with most sportsbooks. At the time of publishing, BetMGM was the only operator with a +3.5 line available on the Packers. BetMGM also had the best moneyline number on the packs at +155.
For readers looking to bet the 49ers, FanDuel had the lowest juice on the spread (-3 at -115) and moneyline (-166) at the time of publishing this article. Find the live odds below, with the best number displayed for each wager:

Green Bay Packers Preview for Sunday Night
The Green Bay Packers have been night and day between weeks one and two. In week one, they looked like a shell of an NFL football team in their 38-3 loss against the New Orleans Saints. Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers looked like a shell of himself in the season opener and arguably had the worst game of his entire career.
Along with this, the Packers could not get their running game going against the Saints either. It was a complete team loss and they were dominated. Many thought this would be a sign of things to come for Green Bay and that Rodgers was simply throwing the season away to try to get back at the teams’ front office.
However, in week two, they looked like the Packers from last season. Despite coming out of the gates a bit slow and trailing by three points heading into halftime, the Packers buckled down and caused a total collapse from Detroit in the second half. They easily took over the game in the second half and won by a final score of 35-17. Rodgers finished the game with 255 yards and four touchdowns.
Running back Aaron Jones stole the show, setting up shop in the end zone. Despite only having a total of 115 all-purpose yards, Jones put up four touchdowns.
It will be interesting to see if week one was just a fluke for the Packers or if they just took advantage of playing a week opponent in week two. However, anyone watching the game would tell you that it is very difficult to believe that the Packers can go back to being a laughing stock after how good they looked on Monday night.
As long as the Packers are able to come out of the gates hot after their short week, we should see a very good game between the two teams and a game that the Packers could win.
San Francisco 49ers Preview for Sunday Night
The San Francisco 49ers are one of six teams in the entire NFL that still have an undefeated record heading into week two. They will be trying to remain in the undefeated club, however, they will have their work cut out for them against a very talented Packers team.
The 49ers have not looked entirely convincing despite what their record would show. They had a commanding lead against the Lions in week one, however, they allowed Detroit to claw their way back into the game and only came out of the opening weekend with a 41-33 victory.
In week two, the 49ers came out ahead in a 17-11 defensive battle against the Eagles. The 49ers have not won either of their games convincingly, however, the only thing that matters is that they came out with a win. It is up in the air if they can continue this trend against the Packers.
Home field advantage while nice likely will not make a huge difference against a veteran team that is led by Aaron Rodgers. This game will fall on the shoulders of the 49er's'defense. If they let the Packers' offense run wild as the Lions did, the 49ers' offense will be incapable of keeping up.
However, if they can play the Packers as the Saints did, the offense should be able to do enough to bring home their third consecutive victory.
We are predicting an upset on Sunday night., and I would not only take the Packers' spread but also moneyline. Week two was not a fluke for the Packers and after snapping out of their week one trance, they are here to stay. The Packers moneyline is something to especially keep an eye out for. With the odds being set as favorably as they are currently, the time is now to get in on it. As long as they are not too fatigued from travel and playing on Monday night, they should be able to take care of business.
The total is a much more difficult call to make in this game. Once again, it is all dependent on what the 49ers' defense can do. If they are able to keep Rodgers and the Packers offense in check, then this game should stay well under the total. However, this is a very tall task. Despite being one of the best defenses in the league, it takes a lot to slow down Rodgers and the Packers.
However, I predict this game will be a shootout as long as the 49ers can pull their weight. We saw in week one that they are capable of putting up big numbers. They scored 41 points against the Lions. While I would recommend staying away from the total in this game, if you decide to bet on it, I would recommend the over.
