Draymond Green OVER 8.5 Points
Mr. Green is a tough guy to figure out. He's highly skilled in all facets of the game but sometimes doesn't show much interest in scoring. That being said, this number is about a point too low.
Green has been more of a scorer on the road this season, as he averages 8.8 points per game on the highway. The former Michigan State Spartan has exceeded this point total in 4 of his last 7 games. That's probably a big reason why BetMGM is juicing the Over at -140.
We also love the matchup for Dray against the Lakers. Los Angeles ranks 26th in points allowed and 24th in paint points allowed. We think Green gets into double figures rather comfortably, so we'll take the Over!
Luka Doncic UNDER 8.5 Rebounds
We always hold our breath when fading a player of Doncic's caliber. However, for whatever reason, Luka hasn't rebounded the ball as well since Kyrie Irving came over in the trade with Brooklyn. Doncic is only averaging 7 rebounds per game over his last 5 outings.
Doncic also hasn't crashed the boards too well of late against the Spurs. He's stayed under this rebounding total in 4 of his last 6 games against San Antonio. We like that the Spurs rank a respectable 14th in rebounding while the Mavs rank 29th.
Caesars is juicing this under at -137. We think the main reason is that Dallas is a 13.5-point favorite in the contest. If the Mavs build a big lead, Luka may spend some time resting on the bench. Take the Under with confidence!
Kyrie Irving OVER 5.5 Assists
Here's another number that's a shade too low. Irving has been quite the distributor since coming over from the Nets. He's racked up 6 assists or more in 3 of his first 4 games with Dallas. We're expecting more of the same against the lackluster San Antonio defense.
Over his last 5 games, Irving is averaging a robust 8.6 assists per game. That's probably why Unibet has this over juiced at -155. FanDuel isn't too far behind at -146. Those are both strong indicators that we're on the right side!
We also like the matchup for Kyrie against San Antonio. The Spurs struggle on the defensive end of the floor, as they rank 30th in defensive efficiency and 29th in assists allowed per game. Irving should easily eclipse this low assists number. Let's ride with the Over!
