3 PrizePicks MLB Props for Thursday, April 6

Today is one of the best sports days on the calendar. We get a full day of watching The Masters with some baseball sprinkled in. The 2023 MLB regular season is off and running, and we're off to a decent 3-2 start.

We split our action last Friday with a 1-1 performance. David Peterson stayed under his strikeouts prop to cash for us, but Dodgers righty Dustin May failed to strike out enough hitters for our over bet. Tommy La Stella didn't play, so our total bases selection on him was voided.

Ready for some daytime baseball to brighten up the afternoon? Here are 3 PrizePicks MLB Props for Thursday, April 6. Best of luck with your picks!

Lance Lynn OVER 6.5 Strikeouts

We watched Mr. Lynn pitch last Friday, and his stuff was electric. He struck out 6 Astros and only allowed 3 hits through 5.2 innings. Against Houston's powerful lineup, that's a pretty impressive stat line. We're expecting Lynn to dominate a much weaker Giants lineup this afternoon.

Five of San Fran's hitters don't have any career hits off of Lynn through 38 combined at-bats. Lynn is one of the league's premier power pitchers. Lynn averaged 9.17 strikeouts per 9 innings last season, and he has the stuff to work deep into games.

While the market is somewhat mixed on this number, we like the fact that Caesars is juicing the Over at -141. We'll follow Mr. Caesars' lead and take the Over!

Brandon Belt OVER 0.5 Total Bases

Belt should fit in just fine with the Blue Jays, and we're expecting him to get at least one hit today against the lowly Royals. The 6-3 230-pound first baseman is off to a rough 1 for 15 start so far this season. However, we think Belt will have no trouble today against Jordan Lyles.

Lyles had a decent debut for Kansas City last week, but he often gets too much of the plate with his offspeed pitches. Last season in Baltimore, Lyles had a 4.42 ERA and gave up 26 home runs. Belt is hitting .333 against Lyles in his career, which makes us love the Over.

A quick look at the market shows us that the Over is the way to play this one. Unibet is pricing the Over at -175, so we'll ride with it and hope that Belt busts out of his mini-slump.

James Outman OVER 0.5 Total Bases

Outman is one of the Dodgers' top young prospects, and he's already off to a pretty good start in 2023. The 25-year-old is batting .286 with a homer and 5 runs batted in in only 14 at-bats. He'll be facing Merrill Kelly, who is a savvy veteran for Arizona.

Kelly is a smart pitcher, but he doesn't have overpowering stuff. He's also struggled in his career against the Dodgers with a record of 0-9 and an ERA of 5.64. Outman should be able to scrounge up at least one hit against Kelly this evening.

BetRivers is pricing this Over at -162, which makes us think that there's value in putting this play in our PrizePicks parlay. Take the Over for Outman in the late nightcap between LA and Arizona.
