The 2023 Sentry Tournament of Champions is set to tee off on Thursday, January 5. The tournament is in Maui, and the warm weather is sure to please a lot of players who endured the recent holiday subzero temperatures. Cameron Smith took home the top prize in last year's TOC, but he's obviously not in the field after joining the LIV Golf Tour.
Need some help betting on the 2023 Sentry Tournament of Champions? We got you covered! Here are 4 prop bets to make for this fabulous tournament!
This will be Theegala’s 1st time competing in the Sentry Tournament of Champions, but that does not deter us from taking him here to finish inside the top 20. He is no stranger to west coast play being from California and playing his college golf at Pepperdine.
He is coming off a win at the QBE Shootout in December, and previous to that, he had finished tied for 2nd at the RSM Classic. We are comfortable backing him with his solid recent play.
Morikawa has participated in the Sentry for 3 straight years. Last year, he finished 5th, while in the 2 previous years, he finished 7th. It's impressive to finish inside the top 10 each year, and for that reason, we are backing him at plus money to do the same this year.
Zalatoris has yet to participate in the Sentry, but being such a young pro, it is nothing to truly worry about. What was concerning is how he finished the 2022 season.
He was forced to withdraw from the BMW Championship before sitting out the TOUR Championship. However, he has had plenty of time to recover, and we believe he will be playing just as well as ever here.
As impressive as Morikawa’s 3 straight years of top 10 finishes here have been, Jon Rahm’s 5 straight inside the top 10 is even more impressive. Not only that, but he has finished 2nd in multiple years here at the Sentry.
While he has only started in 2 events this season, they were both impressive performances. He tied for 4th at the CJ Cup prior to tying for 8th at the Hero World Challenge. He is a typical oddsmaker favorite to win tournaments, and we think he easily finishes in the Top 5.
