H2H: Thomas Detry +115 OVER Wyndham Clark (DraftKings)

Wyndham Clark has been on a great run in 2023. He has finished inside the Top 50 in 11 straight starts. While that has been extremely impressive, he has yet to compete here at Corales.

With Detry having the experience edge and a 15th-place finish last season here, we like the plus money we are getting in this matchup.

H2H: Cameron Percy -120 OVER Erik Van Rooyen (DraftKings)

Van Rooyen finished 10th last week at the Valspar but has been inconsistent over the year. He finished 141st with a missed cut, and a 14 over the score at the Honda Classic was just before a 32nd-place finish at the Puerto Rico Open. He grabbed a 6th place finish at the American Express before he missed the cut the following week at the ATT Pro-Am.

Percy is fresh off a 16th-place finish at the Valspar Championship and has finished in the Top 20 in 2 of his last 3 starts. Here at the Corales, he finished 4th last year and should be able to fend off the inconsistent Van Rooyen.

H2H: Kramer Hickok +100 OVER Matt Wallace (DraftKings)

If Van Rooyen is considered inconsistent, we don’t know what to call Wallace’s play as of late. He was 7th last week but missed the cut the week prior at the Players. He has picked up a couple of Top 30 finishes this season but has missed 6 of 11 cuts.

Wallace is not playing great this season, and his lack of experience here at Corales makes him an easy fade. Hickock has just 1 finish outside the Top 20 at Corales, which came in 2021 when he finished 21st.

In 2019 he was a Top 10 contender, and last season he finished 13th. Hickok should have little to no issue finishing stronger than Wallace this weekend.

Top 40 Finish: Brice Garnett

Best Available Odds: +110 at FanDuel

Garnett has gone 6 straight starts this season where he finished outside the Top 40. The Sony Open back in January was his last finish inside this number, where he shot 11 under for a 21st-place finish.

This was his lone Top 40 finish this season. He has come close a couple of other times, and we believe this is where he gets his 2nd.

He won this event in 2018 and has made the cut in 4 straight starts here. This is a bit of a weaker field, and we believe Garnett will take advantage and grab a Top 40 here.

Top 40 Finish: DJ Trahan

Best Available Odds: +360 at FanDuel

DJ Trahan does not have a ton of experience on Tour, but has made the cut here all 4 years he has made a start. His best finish was in 2019, where he finished 10th.

In his latest start on Tour, at the Puerto Rico Open, he made the cut and just missed a Top 40 finish as he shot 5 under for the tourney for a 44th finish. We like Trahan to break through again as he did in 2019 and grab a Top 40 here at some great value.

Top 40 Finish: Jonathan Byrd

Best Available Odds: +190 at FanDuel

Byrd is a similar play to Trahan in that they both had strong finishes in 2019. Byrd finished 4th that year which was his best finish to date. He made the cut in his other 3 starts here and has gotten inside the Top 40 in 2 of those other starts.

He also just missed a Top 40 finish in Puerto Rico. He, like Byrd, should be able to play well enough into the weekend and cash for us.

Top 40 Finish: Kelly Kraft

Best Available Odds: +185 at FanDuel

Yes, Kelly Kraft failed to make the cut here last year but let us put that aside for a moment. In his 3 starts before that one at Corales, he has a worst finish of 14th! That was in 2021, and he had back-to-back Top 5 finishes in 2018-2019.

Kraft is certainly capable of another contention-type run here this week but we will play the safer side at almost 2 to 1 to grab a Top 40 in a bounce-back year.

Top 20 Finish: Kramer Hickok

Best Available Odds: +150 at BetRivers

Hickock started out hot for us last week when he fired off a 6 under Thursday-Friday. Unfortunately, Saturday was ugly, and he shot 6 over, followed by a 2 over on Sunday to finish in 45th.

At the Honda and Genesis, he snagged two Top 30 finishes and has been playing solid at times this season. Here at Corales, He has just 1 finish outside the Top 20, which came in 2021 when he finished 21st.

In 2019 he was a Top 10 contender, and last season, he finished 13th. We like Hickok to put together a complete week here and make a push over the weekend.

Top 20 Finish: Thomas Detry

Best Available Odds: +100 at FanDuel

Detry has made the cut in 10 of his 12 starts this season, and of those 10, he finished in the Top 20 in 4 of them. After finishing in 33rd back-to-back years here in 2019 and 2021 (the 2020 tourney did not happen), he broke through last year and finished 15th. We like the way he has trended, and another Top 20 finish here looks more than possible.

Top 20 Finish: Cameron Percy

Best Available Odds: +188 at Unibet

Percy is fresh off a 16th-place finish at the Valspar Championship and has finished in the Top 20 in 2 of his last 3 starts. Here at the Corales, Percy has been getting better each year.

In 2018 he finished 54th, and in his next start in 2021, he finished 8th. He topped that 8th-place finish last season with a 4th-place finish last year. Percy should be well within the hunt over the weekend and likely worth a sprinkle on the outright win.
