As we move into March of 2024, sports bettors can look forward to a year jam-packed with lots of huge sporting events. No, there won't be a World Cup, but bettors can still count on iconic events like the Super Bowl, the College Football Playoff, and the Summer Olympics in Paris.

Also, don't forget about all the exciting events in other sports, like the Presidents Cup and March Madness. Any or all of these are a great opportunity to add to your sports betting portfolio. If you need help analyzing any of these events, visit our news page for all the latest and greatest info.

What We Are Looking Forward to in 2024

Sports fans have plenty to look forward to in 2024, but there are a handful of events that stand out above the rest. Here are the three events we are most looking forward to on this year's sports calendar:

March Madness

From a sports betting perspective, there is nothing quite like March Madness. The college basketball action starts early and continues to nearly midnight. We can expect Cinderella stories, star performances, buzzer-beaters, and more.

Selection Sunday follows the conclusion of conference tournaments on Sunday, March 17th. The 2024 tournament will tip off with the First Four on March 19-20, and will conclude with the NCAA championship game on Monday, April 8th at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

2024 Summer Olympics

The 2024 Summer Olympics will take place in Paris, France. While we will have prelim action in archery, football, handball, and rugby on July 24th and 25th, the opening ceremony will take place on Friday, July 26th. The games conclude with a closing ceremony on Sunday, August 11th.

2024-25 NFL Season

The NFL returns to action in August with the Hall of Fame Game. The game follows the enshrinement ceremony, which is scheduled for August 3rd in Canton. This year's inductees include Dwight Freeney, Randy Gradishar, Devin Hester, Andre Johnson, Steve McMichael, Julius Peppers, and Patrick Willis.

The first game of the NFL regular season will take place on Thursday, September 5th. Few events on the sports betting calendar can live up to the hype and excitement that the start of the NFL season brings.
