The second round of the NHL Playoffs begins tonight. For hockey fans, things are only going to heat up from here, and we’re going to help provide our best bets for you throughout the rest of the playoffs.
Let’s take a look at tonight’s two-game slate and go over our favorite bets of the evening. Best of luck with all of your action on the ice!
Florida Panthers vs Toronto Maple Leafs
We recognize that scoring 7 combined goals seems like a tall task, especially in a playoff game. However, the Panthers and Maple Leafs aren’t your ordinary hockey teams. Both have proven that they can score in bunches, which is why we are taking the over on tonight’s point total.
The Panthers have scored at least 4 goals in 4 of their last 6 contests. They are on a scoring tear, and we would not be surprised if they put together a 4+ goal performance tonight.
The Leafs have scored at least 3 goals in 4 of their last 6 games. Within those past six games, they included a performance with 7 goals against a very good Tampa Bay Lightning team.
Ultimately, both teams appear to be ready for a high-scoring affair in tonight’s matchup. With both rosters looking to make a splash in round 2 of the playoffs, we recommend taking the over on the goal total.
Seattle Kraken vs Dallas Stars
Honestly, we’re pretty shocked to see that the Seattle Kraken have even made it this far. They shocked the hockey world, beating the Colorado Avalanche in a seven-game series. While they were able to find lighting in a bottle, we’re expecting the Dallas Stars to take care of business in game one of the series.
The Stars have won three straight playoff games after being down 2-1 to the Minnesota Wild in the first round of the playoffs. They have scored at least three goals in those games, including four goals apiece in their last two matchups. We’re expecting their veteran presence to overpower the Kraken, who are just happy to have made it to the second round.
The NHL Playoffs are certainly a different beast, and anything can happen. However, there is a big reason that the Stars are favored so heavily, and we’re ready to capitalize on that. Throw the Stars ML in as a parlay piece tonight, or take them as a standalone. We’re very confident in their ability to win tonight.
